(but the garden includes non-native plants)<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"SF Botanical Garden\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sfbotanicalgarden.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">San Francisco Botanic Garden at Strybing Arboretum<\/a> (San Francisco): 24 theme gardens; very popular; within Golden Gate Park<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"UCB Botanical Garden\" href=\"http:\/\/botanicalgarden.berkeley.edu\/http:\/\/\" target=\"_blank\">UC Berkeley Botanical Garden<\/a> (Berkeley): Extensive and varied; worth an all-day visit<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Tilden Regional Park Botanic Garden\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ebparks.org\/parks\/tilden\" target=\"_blank\">Tilden Regional Park, Regional Parks Botanic Garden<\/a> (Berkeley): a large public park with mostly California native plants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Farther North in California<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Cornerstone Gardens\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cornerstonegardens.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cornerstone Festival of Gardens<\/a> (Sonoma): Experimental garden designs and garden art; \u201ca series of walk-through installations showcasing new and innovative designs from the world&#8217;s finest landscape architects and designers\u201d<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Ferrari-Carano Gardens\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ferrari-carano.com\/visit\/gardens\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ferrari-Carano Gardens<\/a> (Healdsburg): Winery estate garden, known for tulips and daffodils in spring<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FDNPBG\" target=\"_blank\">Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden <\/a>(Benecia): Significant collection of California native plants<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Green Gulch Garden\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sfzc.org\/ggf\/display.asp?catid=3,79,93\" target=\"_blank\">Green Gulch Garden<\/a> (Sausalito): Series of English garden rooms<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Luther Burbank Home &amp; Garden\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lutherburbank.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Luther Burbank Home and Gardens<\/a>, (Santa Rosa): Small home and working garden, maintained like a public park by the City of Santa Rosa<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Marin Art &amp; Garden Center\" href=\"http:\/\/www.magc.org\/gardens\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Marin Art and Garden Center<\/a> (Ross): Community center with some gardens<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Menocino Coast Botanical Garden\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gardenbythesea.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens<\/a> (Fort Bragg): It is unusual to have a public garden on the coast; great views; significant collection<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Ruth Bancroft Garden\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ruthbancroftgarden.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ruth Bancroft Garden<\/a> (Walnut Creek): Significant three-acre collection of succulents; originally a private garden that inspired creation of the non-profit Garden Conservancy<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"The Wave Garden\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gardenvisit.com\/garden\/wave_gardenhttp:\/\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Wave Garden<\/a> (Point Richmond): Interesting hardscape and sculptures;
